We're happy to hear that you're going the eco-friendly route for your big day. It might be difficult to find that exact lantern, but you can probably find something very comparable at a local decor rental company. Most of the rental companies have an assortment of lanterns available for events, so we would suggest to begin there. If the first one you call can't help you then be sure to ask for recommendations of other companies in your area who may have the lantern you're looking for. They can at least point you in the right direction. Good luck with your planning, and congratulations again!

Re: Centerpieces: The Focal Point of Every Table Setting

I love that picture of a lantern! That would go perfectly with my wedding theme. (We are getting married next summer.) Where can I find it? It's just so classy and intricate looking, yet still sustainable and eco-friendly! You really do have the best ideas for throwing green events, especially for weddings. I can tell already that I will be visiting your blog often for the next seven months!

Re: Centerpieces: The Focal Point of Every Table Setting

I've seen some green events around, and this would also be the perfect solution for them as a centerpiece. I love the lamp centerpiece you have displayed in your post. I don't know where you found it, but I'm jealous :)

Re: When You Have to Transport Guests

yes, car service is necessary for an important event like a wedding day. That's what i did on my wedding, we rented a limo so we didn't need to hustle for our transport.

Re: Invitations – What Event Planner Can’t Spend Hours on this Topic?

Really brilliant idea. When it comes to alternative options, there are pros and cons to all possibilities that need to be factored into the event host's decision for procuring event materials. Since we are based in Arizona we discuss alternative options that are most beneficial for our area, though they are generally eco-friendly most anywhere. For instance, if an event host is in a place like San Francisco we would recommend using compostable items instead of post-consumer recycled materials since there's an abundance of commercial composting facilities there. Post-consumer is best for Phoenix due to the limited types and amounts of composters, though. Taking into consideration the options available in your location is key to making the best decision on which materials are best for your event.

Re: Composting Facilities – We Need More of Them!

There's noticeably a bundle to find out about this. Did you use certain factors to determine what alternative options are available and which are better than others?

Re: Composting Facilities – We Need More of Them!

I really enjoyed your post on this topic.
